Wine Guild guests and members were treated to an absolutely delightful Valentine’s Day cocktail party, hosted by Omar Oualili, the mastermind behind Sahara Cocktails.

This ancient Moroccan spirit, crafted by the Jewish communities of Morocco for centuries was once a rare and almost forgotten gem.

Now it’s back in the limelight thanks to Sahara, with a bold and modern revival of this unique drink. Infused with the finest figs and a kiss of aniseed, Sahara is a flavour bomb, laced with notes of apricots, almonds, honey, and cinnamon – all crafted with a perfect balance of Moroccan tradition and Scottish distilling know-how.

Together with head bartender from The Franklin Hotel, the drinks from our curated cocktail party reflected the elegance of such a beautiful venue.
